- ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and participation in all Adventure Tours BC experiences in British Columbia, Canada.
By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
- BOOKING & PAYMENT
Deposit:
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This includes a non-refundable deposit of $350.00 per booking.
Final Payment:
The remaining balance is due 60 days prior to the tour start date. Bookings made within 60 days must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Payment Methods:
We accept payment via credit card and bank transfer. Credit card payments incur a 3% processing fee.
Booking Confirmation:
Your booking is confirmed once payment is received. A confirmation email will be issued with full tour details.
- CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellations by Participant:
- More than 60 days prior: Full refund less the non-refundable deposit
- 30โ60 days prior: 50% refund of total tour price
- Less than 30 days: No refund
All cancellation terms apply regardless of reason, including illness, travel disruption, or personal circumstances.
- NO REFUNDS & FORCE MAJEURE
Adventure Tours BC operates in remote wilderness environments where conditions may change rapidly.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations, delays, or changes resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Wildfires
- Weather conditions
- Road closures
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
In such circumstances, alternative arrangements or rescheduling may be offered at our discretion but are not guaranteed.
- CANCELLATION BY ADVENTURE TOURS BC
We reserve the right to cancel a tour where:
- Minimum participant numbers are not met
- Safety concerns arise
- External factors make operation unsafe or impractical
Where a tour is cancelled by Adventure Tours BC for operational reasons (excluding force majeure), a full refund will be provided.
Where cancellation is due to force majeure, refunds are not provided, and claims should be made through your travel insurance.
- TRAVEL INSURANCE
All participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance, including:
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Medical expenses
- Emergency evacuation
Adventure Tours BC accepts no liability for losses incurred due to lack of appropriate insurance coverage.
- PARTICIPANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Fitness & Capability:
Participants must ensure they meet the physical and technical requirements of the chosen tour.
Health Disclosure:
All relevant medical conditions must be disclosed prior to participation.
Compliance:
Participants must follow all guide instructions. Failure to do so may result in removal from the tour without refund.
- RIGHT TO REFUSE OR REMOVE PARTICIPANTS
Adventure Tours BC reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant where:
- Safety is compromised
- Behaviour is inappropriate
- Fitness level is insufficient
No refund will be provided in such cases.
- ITINERARY CHANGES
Adventure Tours BC reserves the right to alter itineraries due to:
- Weather conditions
- Safety considerations
- Operational requirements
No refunds will be provided for itinerary changes made in the interest of safety or overall experience.
- MEDICAL EVACUATION & COSTS
In the event of an emergency, participants are responsible for all costs associated with rescue, evacuation, or medical treatment, including those incurred in remote environments.
- ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participants acknowledge that all Adventure Tours BC experiences involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Remote wilderness travel
- Wildlife encounters
- Air and ground transport
- Physical activity in alpine environments
These risks may result in serious injury or death. Participation is voluntary and undertaken at the participantโs own risk.
- WAIVER REQUIREMENT
All participants must complete and sign a Waiver & Risk Acknowledgment Form prior to participation.
Failure to complete the waiver will result in inability to participate, with no refund provided.
- THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS
Adventure Tours BC works with trusted third-party providers (e.g., accommodation, transport, aviation, and activity providers).
While carefully selected, Adventure Tours BC is not liable for the acts or omissions of these providers.
- LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adventure Tours BC is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or expense arising from participation in any tour.
All participants are required to sign a waiver acknowledging and accepting these risks.
- PRIVACY
Personal information is collected solely for the purpose of operating your tour and providing services.
We do not share personal information except where necessary for tour operation or required by law.
- GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
